- Problems within the uterine cavity

- Uncommon: infection, bleeding, perforation of the uterus
Diagnosis
- Ultrasound beforehand
- Performed ideally just after a period
Treatment
- Removal of polyps and submucous fibroids
- Septum resection (metroplasty)
- Removal of adhesions
- Targeted endometrial biopsy
Recovery
- Usually a day-care procedure
- Mild cramps and spotting for a few days
- Most women resume work in 1–2 days
