Will I go into menopause?

Not if the ovaries are preserved. If both ovaries are removed, menopause begins immediately.

Will I need a caesarean later?

It depends on the depth and position of the fibroids removed; this is discussed before pregnancy.

Is hysteroscopy painful?

It is done under anaesthesia or sedation, so the procedure itself is not painful.

Can I have a normal delivery after a caesarean?

Sometimes (VBAC). It depends on the previous surgery and the current pregnancy, and is assessed individually.

Can I breastfeed after a caesarean?

Yes. Breastfeeding can usually start soon after delivery.

Can it be reversed?

Tubal ligation reversal (recanalization) is offered, but success is not guaranteed, so consider it permanent.

Is this cosmetic?
